Brief Introduction to the Business Incubation Centre of Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Industries Demonstration Zone

　　Being approved by the Administrative Committee of Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Industries Demonstration Zone,Yangling Business Incubation Centre---a public scientific service institution with independent legal personality, was established in March of 1998 . The centre, also the first agro-tech business incubator in China, is jointly constructed by the Torch Centre of the Ministry of Science&Technology, Shaanxi Science&Technology Department and the Adminstrative Committee of Yangling Demonstration Zone. In April of 2002, the Centre is indentified as a national hi-tech business incubator.

　　In accordance with the relevant policies of our country, with the advantageous intellectual and sci-tech conditions of Yangling Demonstration Zone, the aim of Yangling Business Incubation Centre is to excavate hi-tech projects with bright market perspective and attract excellent talented personnel. With the aim of developing hi-tech enterprises and entrepreneurs, the center will launch efficient service & relevant facilities to create partial optimized surroudings approriate for high-speed development and technology innovation of enterprises. Accordingly, it could achieve its aim of developing industrialized hi –tech enterprises and enabling excellent qualtified entrepreneurs to promote agricultural hi-tech development of the Demonstration Zone.

　　Supported by Ministry of Science & Technology and Shaanxi Science & Technology Department, also directed by the Administrative Commttee of Demonstration Zone, the centre keeps on exploring fresh thoughts and approaches for incubating agricultural hi-tech enterprises and abtained great achievements and developments on base of learning brother incubation centers’ expeniences, combining practical conditions of Yangling to highlight agriculture feature through persevering hard work.

　　The center has four incubator bases, including the Business Incubation Building, the Standed Workshop and the Second Business Incubation Base with a total area of 24,000 square maters, and the Amimal Husbandry Incubater with an area of 257 mu, which is being consteructed. There are perfect infratructures with all-round functions in these areas. The Business Incubation Building which functions as comprehensive office location has provided upper pioneering environment with its perfect infraturcture, such as dining hall, mutli-functional assembly room, meeting hall, telecommumlation, network and central air-conditioning. The total number of the incubated enterprises has reached 86 up to now, among which 11 were set up by returned scholars and 15 graduated enterprises achieved transformation of joint-stock system and land acquisition with the total registered capital of 346.830 million RMB and employees of 1,822, of whom scientific faculty accounting for 60% or more. These enterprises have transferred 150 scientific achievements into production and formed nearly 100 products with yield capacity. Its main developing fields involve agricultureal and husbandry improved varieties, bio-engineering, saving-water irrgation technique, park afforestation, fodder and feed additive, chemurgy, compound fertilizer, fine processing of agricultural by-products and agricultural information technology.

　　The Incubation Center offers all-round services for incubated enterprises with its Comprehensive Business Section, Project Management Section and Property Management Section.

　　The Overseas Scholars Pioneering Park of Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Industries Demonstration Zone, established in August of 2002, handles its business with the Business Incabation Center and intends to provide spacious development room for returned scholars.
　　Good oppprtunity comes when the center was affirmed as state-level hi-tech incubation center on April. 5, 2002. And it’ll accelerate construction to perfect its hardware platform, taking the manner of market operation, fasten the incubated enterprises’ development and contribute to economic booming of the demonstration Zone. To achieve the predetermined aim, the centre will set “Sincerty, Service Innovation, Development ” as its precept and build environment platform by means of sound developing of the Demonstration Zone, creation platform by means of university, professional services platform depending on intermediary service, funds platform depending on Seed Funds and venture investment.
